What can I experience in the Stubaital in winter?

When winter envelops the Stubaital in its white dress, a time full of magic and glittering snow magic begins.

Whether you carve your turns on the perfectly groomed slopes, glide through snow-covered forests while cross-country skiing, or whiz down the valley on a toboggan with fresh mountain air in your face – winter in Neustift shows its most enchanting side. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, discover the quiet side of the mountains while snowshoeing, far away from the hustle and bustle.

And for those who love urban winter flair, a detour to nearby Innsbruck is worthwhile – with sparkling lights, historic streets and a touch of imperial times.

Experience winter

Off the slopes

A winter vacation in the Stubaital does not have to take place on skis – a real winter fairy tale unfolds here away from the slopes with snow-covered forests, quiet paths and unspoiled nature.

Whether tobogganing on excellent natural runs, winter or snowshoe hiking through the glittering snow or cross-country skiing on over 40 kilometers of trails – the variety is impressive.

If you like it even more active, you will find exciting alternatives with ice skating, ice climbing or on guided ski tours. This is how winter in the Stubaital shows itself to be multifaceted, close to nature and full of real experiences.
